F
aculty of Agricultural Technology was originally established in 1934

and it has been gradually developed and changed its name as follows:

1934:             Khlong Rangsit Agricultural School was established
                        (a special primary school in agriculture)
1938:             Pathum Thani Agricultural School (a secondary
                        school for agricultural program)
1966:             Pathum Thani Agricultural College (received an
                        accreditation from The Ministry of Education,
                        responsible for diploma level)

1975:             Pathum Thani Agricultural Campus (under the
                        Institute of Technology and Vocational Act. 1975, the
                        Institute of Technology and Vocational Education was
                        stable and the college was renamed)
Sep.15, 1988:   His Majesty the King, by royal decree officially granted
                       the name “Rajamangala Institute of Technology (RIT)”
                       to the institute. With the RIT’s policy allowed 10
                       agricultural campuses to broaden its academic programs
                       towards polytechnology, the campus was called
                       “Rajamangala Institute of Technology,
                       Pathum Thani Campus".

Jan 18, 2005:   Under the Rajamangala University of Technology Act.
                       2005, RIT was separated into 9 Universities of Technology.
                       Pathum Thani Campus was merged to Rajamangala
                       University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) and
                       became a faculty called “Agricultural Technology” since
                       Nov.28, 2006.

General Information

                Faculty  of  Agricultural  Technology  is  one  of  the  nine  leading  faculties  based  on  Rajamangala  University  of  Technology  Thanyaburi, RMUTT.  It  situated  at  No.2  Phaholyothin  87  Soi 2, Prachathipat,  Thanyaburi  District,  Pathum Thani  Province,  30  Kilometers  in  the  north  apart from  Bangkok  Center  and  15  kilometers  from  the  main  campus.

                The  faculty  has  a  long  and  proud  history  in  its  teaching  and  research.  It  offers  a  diverse  range  of  courses  in  the  sciences  related  to  agricultural  production,  processing,  animal  health care,  fisheries  and  landscape  technology.  The combination of  applied  sciences  gives  the  faculty to its special  character.

                All  of  the  undergraduate  degrees  aim  to  give  students  to  possess  competency  in  the  corresponding  field  with  ethic  and  responsibility  to  the  society.  According  to  the  vision  of  RMUTT  that  is  to  be  the  leader  in  multidisciplinary  educators  with  the  international  standards.  The  degrees  emphasize  on  analytical  and  quantitative  research  and  professional  skills,  and  provide  students  with  the  opportunity  in  Fourth  year  to  complete  a  research  project  which  provides  valuable  experience  in  planning,  researching  and  communicating  a  major  piece  of  work.  All  students  participate  at  least  one  semester  for  on-the-farm  training  in  the  public  or  private  enterprises  which  allows  the  development  of  network  for  the  future  careers.

                Asides  from  providing  the  regular  courses  for  students,  the  faculty  also  provides  the  agricultural  short-course  training  programs  for  both Thai  and  International  students.  Moreover,  the  faculty  has  contributed  academic  services  to  farmers  and  interested  persons  in  the  community.
